AVNU is a creative open learning platform where young people can access workshops, mentorship, and networks according to their needs. AVNU provides relevant workshops and hands-on learning experiences, as well as opportunities to receive guidance and advice from role models in the sector.

Listings of upcoming workshops and activities that qualify for a certificate can be foundon the AVNU website, under Get Involved.Participants who receive an AVNU certificate and become eligible to apply for a Learning Journey.Workshops & NetworkingWe organize workshops on topics such as grant writing, event and festival planning,fundraising, civic engagement, advocacy, social media and more. We createopportunities for you to expand your networks by meeting other young leaders, potentialfunders, and mentors.TrainingWe offer training programs like The Art of Facilitation and Community Arts Leadershipfor emerging facilitators and leaders who want to build on their skills. Thesetraining programs will help you access critical knowledge and skills, and connect toamazing role models and mentors.ClinicsYou will be able to attend clinics and can speak one-on-one with mentors and leaders in the field, getting support and advice that is specific to your work.Learning JourneysAfter receiving AVNU certification, young people will be able to apply for the opportunity to travel outside of Canada to work with youth in other countries. You will be able to learn about new cultures, share your knowledge and learn from the experiences shared by other young people from organizations around the world.Our TeamAVNU is a collaborative initiative of nine community organizations: ArtReachToronto (lead organization), Grassroots Youth Collaborative, For Youth Initiative,Manifesto Community Projects, Neighbourhood Arts Network, NIA Centre, SchoolsWithout Borders, Sketch and Toronto Youth Cabinet.
